The Kuril Islands Research & Conservation Initiative (KIRCI) is dedicated to the protection of vital oceanic and terrestrial ecosystems in the North Pacific and Arctic regions. We engage with diverse stakeholders, including scientific and public entities, ensuring our conservation efforts are both impactful and sustainable. Our mission extends to educating the community about the importance of preserving these fragile environments, and actively working to restore threatened populations.

AWARENESS
Our education initiatives aim to raise awareness and foster appreciation for the unique ecosystems of Pacific Ocean and the Arctic. We organize workshops, field trips, and outreach initiatives, making conservation knowledge accessible to all age groups.
CONSERVATION
Our wildlife conservation projects focus on monitoring threatened and endangered marine mammal populations in the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic. Through our extensive field efforts and community involvement, we strive to protect the animals and habitats vital to their survival, and promote biodiversity in the region.
